In order to meet the requirement of electric vehicle to the high power direct current (dc) contactor, this paper investigates the structural optimization design method of actuator and proposes a novel energy-saving control strategy. The operating principles and structural design processes of electromagnetic actuator are demonstrated in detail.
Products. 1 pole compact bi-directional DC NO contactor of up to 1,500 volts and for continuous currents up to 350 amps for DC charging stations and battery storage systems. 1 pole AC and DC contactor of up to 1,500 volts. Making current up to 3,000 amps; continuous current up to 1,000 amps; short-time current up to 5.000 amps.
Polarized High-Voltage Contactors. Polarized contactor relays have optimized magnetic blowouts that maximize arc quenching. Permanent magnets on the sides of the contact chamber create magnetic fields that bend the arc. By causing the arc to travel a longer distance, resistance is increased, and the arc extinguishes faster.
Schaltbau DC contactors ensure safe operation by: being fully bi-directional: Safe disconnection of high powers irrespective of the current direction. having high making capacity Icm up to 4,000 amps: Which leads to increased system availability. excellent breaking capacity: The contactors retain its full function when disconnecting high currents.

Both AC and DC contactors can be distinguished based on the number of coils. The DC contactor has more coils than the AC contactor, which has fewer coils. Two-phase winding coils should be used in series by the contactor if the primary loop current is too high (i.e., greater than 250A).
