This chapter introduces concepts and materials of the matured electrochemical storage systems with a technology readiness level (TRL) of 6 or higher, in which electrolytic charge and galvanic discharge are within a single device, including lithium-ion batteries, redox flow batteries, metal-air batteries, and supercapacitors.
